Project Spotlight: Chronicles

A Great Lakes Emmy Award-winning docuseries, WQLN Chronicles brings the Lake Erie region’s past and present to life through rich storytelling and striking visuals. Produced by our local WQLN PBS/NPR station, the series is now wrapping its third season — all filmed and crafted right here in Erie. From Prohibition-era tales to unsung local legends, Chronicles explores the people, places, and moments that shaped our region, reminding us why local history still matters.

Jesse James

Erie native Jesse James brings Hollywood experience home, using his time in LA to fuel a growing film career rooted in Northwest PA. A writer, director, and versatile crew member, his award-winning short Blinded screened at nine festivals. Whether freelancing on national shoots or helping fellow local filmmakers, Jesse is committed to building a strong creative community right here in Erie.

House of Eden

Set in a chaotic 1973 frat house, House of Eden follows seven free-spirited students as a seemingly harmless initiation spirals into a dangerous night. When spaced-out fraternity president Leo gives his anxious younger brother one final task — “surprise me” — things quickly unravel. Written and directed by Danny Pakulski, this Oddity Original was produced in Erie in 2024 with a mix of local and LA-based crew. Premiere coming soon.
